Women ‘Too stupid to discuss tax’

A scrutiny panel hearing this week caused outrage when it was said that ‘women just can’t handle their tax affairs, this is why husbands should do it, the controversy has sparked outrage among locals’

One deputy is campaigning for change and said ‘this is ridiculous, of course we can handle our affairs, we bring up children, do most of the housework, look after our husbands can drive cars, make a house a home, choose the right curtains, but the idea we’re simply too stupid to talk about tax is farcical, After all it was men who created this stupid law in the first place, honestly, it’s 2018.

The tax office has said they’re looking into it, but no change will come until 2020 /2021. A new campaign has started #taxmetoo on social media to raise awareness of the issue.
