Plane diverted after over excited child spots his house from plane

An aeroplane had to be diverted this morning after an excited child upset passengers when he spotted his Grouville home as the plane came into land.

The child shouted ‘look mummy its our house’ leading the crew to believe they were to close to the ground, which caused a huge panic amongst passengers.

“This was a serious incident and we took no chances,” an airline spokesman said.

The plane was diverted back to Gatwick airport safely. Passengers will be placed on a later flight. The child has said ‘he’s very sorry’
