An object that appeared to be a grenade found on jersey beach has been confirmed to be coconut.
A bomb officer collected the item and upon attempting to diffuse discovered it to be full of coconut milk.
“I had always dreamt of diffusing a grenade, it’s a career goal, it’s a shame but at least I can make a good Thai curry for dinner this evening” said the bomb officer”
The public if any object are suspicious that they should contact the police rather than attempt to move it whether it be a fruit or explosive.
The grenade turned out to be an ingredient for dinner
