A French man has been killed whilst attempting to swim into St Ouens bay. Jerseys ancient laws dictate that the practice of killing french man IS still legal as the law has never actually been repealed since the time if the French civil war in 1562.
The Frenchman was shot by a St Ouens local who confessed he hasn’t left St Ouens in over 30 years. The man is now being questioned by police but they are concerned for his mental state as on the way to the station he asked where the weighbridge had gone.
The investigation is continuing and the victims family have been informed.
