Patients who have been using a new app, designed to jog the long term memory functions of dementia patients in the island, have forgotten how to use it. The app uses themes of the occupation, farming and school, to try and help long term memory to survive in patients.
The company behind the project said ‘It’s a truly brilliant app which a lot people support, we just didn’t anticipate that people might lose their memory. The good thing is, a lot of its users have grandchildren who can assist them, its educational for youngsters too.
The app will be re designed to ensure it comes with instructions on how to use it.
