The Government of Jersey have exempted all adults from getting ill from anything other than COVID-19 during lockdown.
A message that clearly stated “Children can still become unwell with illnesses other than coronavirus” means that the government has protected all adults form every other illness.
“We’re delighted to announce that adults can no longer be affected otherwise. This means children who become ill from another virus or illness can benefit from the loving support of their families without the risk of them also becoming ill. This is a truly remarkable move and we are most proud of it” said the health minister.
It is estimated that adults may become ill again once the lockdown ends.
