Following today announcement that St Helier will become a 20mph zone, the speed limit on the 5 mile road will upped to 100mph to compensate angry islanders.

"We are committed to safe roads in Jersey and we appreciate reducing speeds maybe inconvenient and potentially life saving but to be considerate to those who wish drive a bit faster, the 5 mile road will now be a 100mph zone between La Pulente Slipway and Braye Jersey Scout Centre"

The local speeding community are said to be outraged that the legal speeding limit has been reduced.
